Constant 100+ days usually start in June though looking at last year, May had quite a few days in the 100s. It actually started end of April, it was 100 on April 28th, 102 on the 29th and 101 on the 30th. It "cooled" back down to mid 80s for a bit but then it there was a stretch of 100+ days between May 13th - May 16th and again between 22nd and 24th and again the last two days of the month...but all the other days were like 96/97/98...same thing really at that point.

We actually had 111º on June 7th last year and 119º on June 29th and no day in June was under 104º. Weird, I don't remember it being that hot last June.

The big difference with May and first 1/2 of June is that night time lows still get into the low-mid 70s, so morning and evening are beautiful. Once it gets past middle of June, then it's high 80s at night and it sucks.

You can actually look at historical weather calendars here, pretty interesting stuff: Weather History for Phoenix, AZ | Weather Underground

You don't??? Are you sure you didn't spend the month in Flagstaff last year?

I don't know how anyone could forget June of last year, especially that last week.

I don't either. I never remember one year to the next - just the normal pattern of the months. When it's gone it's gone.

Same here pretty much. I don't even remember if we had a good monsoon season last year...anyone remember?

I don't have much to compare it to so that may explain something, but I don't remember last year's weather one bit. Seemed pretty uneventful if I remember correctly.

I think weather fans and gardeners remember. I too remember last year as having some horrible freezes and then the scorching temperatures in late June damaging the plants once again. At my house we had a "good" monsoon season, but it seems so variable at the lower elevations, it really depends from community to community.

Last year's monsoon was the worst (least rainfall) that I can remember having at my location. We had less than 1/2" for the entire season IIRC. Pitiful.

I seem to remember the year prior being the worst, no rain and a ton of dust storms. We didn't get much rain this last year but there were very few dust storms that somewhat made up for it in my book.
