There are some newer subdivisions in El Mirage but the city doesn't have a very good feel to it as you pass through it. This is one place you need to visit for yourself and see if it is acceptable for you. I wouldn't live in El Mirage where there are better places to live so close to it.

The City leadership reputation you mention is from the past and does not reflect the current government. El Mirage had disputes with Luke AFB but have worked hard to mend those diffences and in-fact has a close alliance with the base now. The city has a solid budget, progressive General Plan (see website www.cityofelmirage.org), and aggressive Capital Improvement Plan $190 M for improvements.

In the past year the City has built a new walking park, regional YMCA, police station, road signage, state of the art water meter system, community garden, and farmer's market. Please research before you comment on the leadership of a community.

I'm curious how the city leadership is dealing with the fire that has been burning and causing horrible odors in houses and cars?
