The City leadership reputation you mention is from the past and does not reflect the current government. El Mirage had disputes with Luke AFB but have worked hard to mend those diffences and in-fact has a close alliance with the base now. The city has a solid budget, progressive General Plan (see website
www.cityofelmirage.org ), and aggressive Capital Improvement Plan $190 M for improvements.
In the past year the City has built a new walking park, regional YMCA, police station, road signage, state of the art water meter system, community garden, and farmer's market. Please research before you comment on the leadership of a community.
