Can I have my Pebble-Tec pool surface patched? I discovered that on the lowest step there is a part of the surface fissured and loose. Any idea if it can be patched, how much we have to pay? Can we wait until after the pool season is over or should we do it right away, will the issue grow if we wait? - Thanks.

We had some of our pebble-tec patched and they did it with the water in the pool and a scuba tank. It was done under warranty so I have no idea how much it would cost but it can be done at anytime.

Yeah, they come and chisel out the bad spot and then patch it. You will probably notice the patch as it won't be a perfect match but pebble tec is less noticeable than straight plaster. The concern in letting it go is that if the plaster surface cracks down to the gunite, it will leak water into the gunite which may eventually find a re-bar and rust will leach onto the surface. The repair for that is the same. Dig it out, put sealer on it and patch the plaster.

Pebble Tec has lifetime warranty no? Should be covered I would think (unless the warranty is for original owner ou and you aren't te original owner, not sure on that part).

I checked with the pool company (Dolphin) and no luck for us. Not the original owner.
