Hello, I have been living in Az since 1983. Me and my sister were talking the other day about a serial rapist the local media called the "starlight rapist". He struck in the area around Starlight Park in West Phoenix. He was active in the mid to late 80's possibly early 90's. I don't remember the outcome of the case but just remember how scared we were at the time. My dad was a truck driver and on the road for days at a time, so at night we would all sleep in my parents bedroom. We can't find anything on the internet about it and I was just wondering if anyone else remembers the case. Thanks

I remember.

Here is the only article I can find about the Starlight Park Rapist:

-The Courier - Oct. 31, 1986

I knew one of the victims. I also knew a family who scared the rapist out of their house. He was eventually caught, but I don't know how or when. I also don't know his name or if he was convicted.

If I remember correctly the suspect caught lived around 76th drive on one of the streets (Indianola Ave, Clarendon Ave, Weldon Ave, Whitton Ave, Mitchell Dr. or Crittenden Ln.) north of Osborn.
