I just moved here with my fiance from New York and we're trying to figure out a good place to live between where we both work. He works in northern Scottsdale and I work in northern Glendale(nearly Peoria). We are both professionals and have a decent amount of furniture, so we're looking for the moment to rent a house without getting too expensive (1200 a month), Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Should be easy to find something decent, in that price range, in far north (north of bell road), central (between Scottsdale and Glendale) area. . . maybe something close to the 101 so that you both have easy access to your work locations.

Well, you can look somewhere between the SR51 and the I-17, along the 101. That way it will put you pretty much in the middle and it's probably the area where you will find something large enough for $1200/month. Unless of course he likes to drive and then you can find something cute in N. Peoria for that price.

What about the Desert Ridge area? Very accesible to the 51, the 17, the 101.

I agree - somewhere along the I-17 and 101 (north of Bell) would be perfect and puts you right in between Peoria and Scottsdale. Lots of nice neighborhoods in that area.

Look off of 12th st b/t bell and union hills. Their is a nice nighborhood with 3br houses ~1500 sq ft for around 1200/month.

It's just not the norm for that area, especially with increasing rents. PV is not cheap either, maybe your talking about NE Phx? That area is even high.
