Well...I am finally "up to speed" it seems.
Did a hard reset, reset via the website...both did nothing. Internet was slower than dial-up, pages timing out. UGH.
Called support and after being told it couldn't possibly be their router they finally scheduled a service call. After all kinds of tests and multiple phone calls calls they sent a tech to the apartment who finally just swapped out the router and BOOM! Super fast speeds.

Netflex you use their speed tester then load it through a vpn tunnel. The data limit you would have to ask or read their terms of service. Even google uses a limited data model

I spoke with a cox rep today. The limit on the 50MB connection is 250GB. So you can download and stream until you reach that 250GB. The technician advised that once you hit that 250GB cap, the company investigates what traffic is there and where it's coming and going. After the investigation is done and see that it isn't being used for "business related" items, they email you stating they've given you X GB cap before you hit the limit again.
But I have nothing to worry about I just stream movies, like netflex and vudu. I play some games, but I could never reach 250GB, you're wrong.
I didn't know netflex had 1080P movies... but,
If I did two, eight hour sessions on a weekend, I would be up to 75.2 GB already. Add gaming, downloading Diablo III to your PS4 is 16GB. Yeah... this isn't including the 4K resolution movies some of the studios have available to download.
Lucky enough Cox isn't like the other nightmare ISPs out there. At least, that I know of.
