Stumbled across this cool map tool provided by Maricopa County that lets you compare aerial photography from 2 points in time from Nov. 2013 all the way back to the 1930's. Some of the older dates pre-1990 have limited aerial coverage. Shows a cool perspective of how the valley was built up over the years. Select Change Aerial and then Compare 2 Years and then you can move around the map and use the slider in the middle to go between maps.

WAY cool. We live in Surprise and it was fascinating to see just how quickly development occurred (30K people in 2000, 120K in 2005).

A few more images than what Google Earth provided, which was really cool. Got to see what our house looked like before the major renovations in 1990. Also captured my employer's parking lot in the 1990s.

Helluva lot more people working there back then.....kinda sad.
