This is cool but it just means that our teens use less hateful language than those elsewhere. The real bigots are definitely not tweeting their opinions.

Its almost impossible gauge racism against Hispanics because being Latino/Hispanic is not a race. You can be white, black or even Asian or mixed and be Hispanic.. Hispanic just means you come from a Spanish speaking country. I am a dark skinned white guy that gets mistaken for being Latino or Hispanic and also I love a lot of American think every Latino/Hispanic person is Mexican.. sort of amusing.

Hence the term, "sample". And in that sample it shows a clear trend.

Racism is treating some badly because of their race. I don't care what someone is THINKING....Actions are what matter.
We see an alarming trend of lefties trying to control thoughts...Thought police...

It's no longer just a thought when you put your opinion on a public website.

I can see where your coming from there. Helps me justify my thoughts on why it wasn't included anyway thanks.

Click on the interactive map, ie "EXPLORE THE MAP", within the article for more details and for the ability to zoom in and out within various regions of the country. There are very descriptive words you can see they keyed in on the study and where they are used in various parts of the country. The study did indeed key in on several derogatory words that apply towards the groups you are referring too.

150k tweets ending a year ago when there are 1/2 billion tweets a day now.

Not a trend, not scientific. Garbage in = garbage out.

How do you figure that? Not that I have much faith in the study itself, but the interactive map can be viewed by two slurs associated with Hispanic people.

Are there 1/2 billion a day using these words?
