Hi does anyone know of any cheaper hotels, b+b's....inns, lodges, or motels within 1-3 hours drive of Phoenix?

In case the New England Patriots make the superbowl I am doing research on motels and off the beaten path type places within a few hours of phoenix say Globe AZ area, Yuma, Tucson area, Flagstaff area, etc.
Sedona and Prescott, etc. I have found everything in phoenix is pretty much sold out for that weekend.

Any suggestions? My price range would be $50/night - about $100 a night.

1 game at a time of course, but never hurts to be prepared.
I am even willing to stay out in Globe AZ or Blythe CA./Yuma area.

thanks.

Sincerely,
Jeff Dearman

Question Motel 6 Globe

Anyone in the area have any experiences with the Motel 6 in globe?
I am considering that one as they have rooms available relatively cheap.
Thanks!

How long a drive would it be to Globe and is there anything to do in the area??:"

Thanks.

You could try Marana, it's northwest of Tucson and about a two hour drive to the stadium. Here's a link to look at four hotels on I-10, nothing fancy, but they'll probably be booked up fairly soon. It's in a good area, shouldn't be any problems.

Casa Grande would be another possibility. It's 30-45 minutes closer to Phoenix. Not sure about the area of town that there in. Here's a link for some hotels there.

Good luck!

Globe is an old established mining town. To the football stadium from Globe would take roughly about 3 hours. There is relatively nothing to do in Globe.
Hotels and motels during Super Bowl game week are probably all booked up by now. Plus they are very expensive that week. This is also the prime winter visitor season so finding a cheap hotel close by anywhere is nearly impossible.

Check out the bed and breakfast options as well.

There seem to be more of them in Tucson than in Phoenix.
This might be a difficult time of year to book a room, as others have pointed out.
