Would that have been Imogene? Seems like she would be in her 90's now. There was a popcorn machine inside when I was a teenager, in the 50's. We never had enough money to put in the machine for popcorn and still buy ice cream.

The picture posted above, from the cars, looks to have been taken in the 40's. When we went there, I know it was not downtown, more like on north 7th Street, 16th Street, or 24th Street, something like that, but I am sure it was in north-east Phoenix.
My sister, Lois remembers Ima Bratt, also.

I was in boy scouts with Richard (Dick) Bratt. His dad if I remember was running the co. at that time in the 60's. I want to say his name was Bill but am not sure.

Loved Bratt's Ice Cream as we had an ice cream store in the early 60's at 28th St. & Bell Rd
"Oliver's Ice Cream Bowl"
We used Bratt's only and featured 13 flavors.
There plant was on N. 16th St.
We sponsored a Little League Baseball team and when the team would win we treated them to anything they wanted.
If they did not win,we still treated them with anything they wanted....Great times.
My Mother and my Wife ran the shop as I had a Magic Shop in the Legend Cith Theme Park and Pop was comtroller for the A.J. Bayless Markets.
My favorite flavor...Licorice
