Hey guys, I got back last Wed from Phoenix

I noticed a lot of activity there, which is exciting. I saw they were widening the 101 N and a good amount of construction going on as well as many hiring signs. Just general signs of a thriving metro I think

I lived there for 8 yrs and moved back to CT with parents back in Sept so it's been about 9 months. I miss it A LOT and hope to get back ASAP. No luck with jobs here maybe focus my attention back to the Phx area?

I really feel like it is where I belong as a home

Good luck with your move.
I live in Texas. I am making a move from here to Arizona(phoenix area) in a few months and the only experience I have with the area is a brief part in my life, however, I feel like I am going home where I belong.
My husband loves to ride his bike and it's more bike friendly than where we live now and I think the kids are going to fall in love with the area.

Good luck again!

I'm planning a move to the East Valley in a couple of months as well if my job goes through! I can't wait; just in time before Winter hit again. I'm from the Midwest.

It's nothing like it used to be, though. I don't know if we will see that kind of growth again. I hope not. It's too crowded already. Also, too many who are coming here are coming to die (retire). We need younger people. Sounds like you are one of them, so bienvenidos.

But be sure to keep your native plants at home, and do your best to conserve water.

I'm not ready to ahem, die yet; still have to contribute to the social security pot.

I'm sticking to desert vegetations but wouldn't mind a tropical plant or two ie., plumeria, guava, etc. I'm planning to rig my washer to collect that grey water for plants. May even install a grill area with an outdoor sink to wash veggies and stuff; collecting that water for plants as well. I'm cheap so yeah no waste here.
