Valley ozone high-pollution advisory extended through Saturday - azfamily.com 3TV | Phoenix Breaking News, Weather, Sport

Does not look that way in Sun City Festival. We might live in the boonies but we don't get all that pollution and sand storms.

Ozone usually is a far east valley problem. Westerly surface winds during the day keep it over by AJ and the superstition mountains. Even the regular pollution from particulates rarely exceeds standards in the suburbs. You probably do get fewer dust storms (we don't have sand storms - it ain't the Sahara) as they tend to be most frequent and severe the further east and south you go in the area. Enjoy.

Even so, you should still be able to see the camels when the sandstorms come.
