The extension of the light rail in the east valley along Main Street in Mesa is due to open on August 22. Four new stations will be added. This is seven months ahead of schedule Well done to the construction teams. This means less disruption for local businesses and we can look forward to more footfall in the area. Let's just hope the bums and the freeloaders actually pay their fares to help cover the massive costs of the extension.

They are testing it now. Glad the construction is pretty much over. It was a MESS.

We will see if it really does anything to help downtown Mesa.
