I see lots of people as well. I live in South Phoenix and there are a ton of horse properties and ag land. it's not uncommon to see people riding horses wearing the typical western wear.

How well do you fill out those Wranglers? *snicker*

I think AZ is a melting pot of people who dress differently. I say be proud of who you are and dress how you want. I see people casual and dressy at the same places. I feel very comfortable here, compared to where I moved from. Back there if you didn't dress like a hipster or a HIPPY you were definitely made to feel like an outsider. I am more of a classic dresser. And I love the cowboy look!

Do some of the women around Phoenix dress like a hippie/cowgirl hybrid?

Well the blonde in the jeans is wearing stuff like my wife used to wear when we were dating/first married. Except for whatever she has on her feet? The others...not so much.

Ahem. West Texas does not own the western cowtown culture. None of TX does. It's quite common to see hats, boots and jeans all over New Mexico. No one bats an eye, either. I woud expect to see the same in less citified parts of AZ as well.

It's a daily occurrence in Queen Creek and Gilbert.
Wear what you like and don't worry about what others think.
Life is much easier that way
