Are you looking for just any home as long as it is large? Are you working in Phoenix? In Vistancia, Peoria, some of the builders have slashed their prices to the point where it is painful for the rest of us. If I could, I would buy now. Shea only has a few lots left in two of their developments and Engle is lowering their prices drastically to dump the remaining homes here. Ashton Woods also has some great incentives. The web sites do not reflect the incentives so you should make sure you call the sales office no matter where you are shopping.

thx for the list of builders...they do seem to be on the higher-end but i will check...
i am looking for the largest home that a $1000 - $1200 PITI can buy...

You might check with Homelife Communities in Waddell. They have some that may be in your price range. They have changed their name to something that starts with an "A", but I don't remember the new name.

So, that's under $100/sf. I remember those prices....several years ago. I think if you don't want a dump, you will have to go far out for that price and sf. Are you checking realtor.com and other sites?
