In regards to your "dumbed down" remark, the emboldened part should read "whose fault is that?" in that "whose" is a determiner in this case, not a contraction of "who is" as "who's" is; and the period should be a question mark as you posed a question and didn't make a statement.

I'm optimistic enough to believe that online voting from home could be safely accomplished with the right security in place and a saved pdf voting record in the event of mischief. We do virtually everything else online including most financial transactions and the vast, vast majority of those go off without a hitch, why not elections?

We get early ballots...then had no trouble dropping them off. Traffic was bad, but other than that, easy.

Sun City is comprised of many snowbirds from other states registered in those states. 43,000 is a bit generous. Most of my elderly neighbors vote early mail in ballots. They get it.

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/pet...mocratic-party

This whitehouse.gov petition has received 205k signatures in a matter of days. They usually respond when there is a petition that receives 100k w/n 1 month. I'm curious to see if/how the White House responds to this.

Maybe if this state funded education it wouldn't be an issue here.

I could imagine things going wrong with online voting. People would probably find a way to hack it, and since it's politics... Well... Do I need to state how wrong things can go? We can't even get simply in-person voting right apparently, let alone online voting.

The problems were primarily due to incompetence, not a conspiracy, and I say this as a liberal Democrat. The reduction in Maricopa County polling places from 200 to 60 was a major factor, but it seemed to hurt people of all income levels and ethnicities. Another problem resided with the MVD that reportedly changed people from registered with a party to PND (party not determined) when changing addresses on their driver's licenses.

It's interesting though that the Maricopa County poll reduction would have had to receive federal approval if Scalia and his buds hadn't gutted the Voting Rights Act.
