This is the desert; for 95+% of the time during the summer (may-September) humidity is minimal in or near single digits. The hottest part of the summer is July and some August. We will have around 100 days of 100 degrees or hotter. We will have between a week and a month of 110 degrees plus. It will be hot until the rains come in September. We some times have dust storms.

There is no need to compare our weather here to; Seattle, New York, South Carolina, Alaska, or anywhere in Canada. It would be realistic and more informed to compare weather in Phoenix to Glendale, Apache junction, or Mesa, (or any one of the other suburbs that are directly adjacent). There is no point in trying to "compare" our weather to any other location that's more than 150 miles away (other than Vegas) because its not the same thing. If you need further information on what local weather is like, there are all ready 3 other threads made per day about it, and your "search" function is located above the "New thread" icon, then scan to the right.

Yup they need to come out here July 4th and see if they can deal with the the heat and beginning of high dew points from the monsoon season. Everyone deals with it differently and you won't known what until you experience it.

Just someone who listened to the wrong person, moved to Florida and now is regretting their decision and now is trying to justify it. No biggie !

That's what I did. I moved here in the summer. I didn't have to wonder how the heat was. I knew the minute I got out of my car.

It's ironic since the average Joe spends almost no time outdoors day to day anyways but they'll complain about it being hot anyways....

JG what do you want out of a relocation forum. we do have fun, with our topics being about our metro area. What more can you ask for? also all, keep my mind my name is not Elca Jones. It's a play-on of my home town El Cajon, CA and the spanish term Cajones...DAMMIT . It worked better when I joined the forum and still lived in El Cajon....

We get good questions sometimes, but sometimes we get 4-5 weather threads in a row. That's all.

I think people post the climate threads to determine if their city is more or less tolerable than other cities, especially when our summer rolls around. Just my opinion...
