Thanks for the replies! I knew about the electronics and photographs, but wasn't sure if I was missing anything. I will tell them that the meth lab has to be in the house. That's not dangerous, right?

Not at all! Just be sure to put it in a cabinet or a small closet. Get either the child safety latches (cabinets) or the things to put around doorknobs if there's kids present. Remember: the meth lab is NOT a toy.

Anything with an adhesive. The heat will melt the glue on it. Almost all my moving boxes arrived opened because all the glue had melted. That's apparently what I get for moving to AZ in July.

DRY excessive heat is a problem for a some fabrics and SOME plastics/rubber composites. I am speaking about dimensional stability of polymers. For a couple of months, you should be in decent shape. The especially sensitive items are undergarments and especially bed sheet elastics which will quickly breakdown in a couple of short months. But it has to be in a DRY excessive heat like inside of your AZ garage. That is why many snowbirds add humidity to the air when they leave by putting buckets of water in the house (I literally turn off my air). I went one step farther after having some mesh handbags basically disintegrate over 2 summers in the garage. Now we fill the garbage can full of water to boost the humidity while we are out for the summer.

I'd be more concerned with the fact that they don't have any money for storage! Storage units are relatively inexpensive.

They'll be with you longer than a "couple of months" if they can't come up with a security deposit.

No batteries in the garage either.
