As far as the chains go, I've found Morton's to be a step above Ruth's. Fleming's has always been mediocre.

I like all 3, though I do agree Fleming's is the least desired, I actually prefer Ruth's to Morton's even though I eat at both, the atmosphere in Morton's is too hoity toity compared to Ruth's which is a bit more laid back.

In the past, I would have agreed with you about Fleming's. I've been there about 5 times in the last couple years, and it was pretty mediocre relative to the other places being discussed in this thread. But the last time I went about a month ago was phenomenal. I had a filet that was among the best I've ever had, and the service was great. Definitely changed my opinion a bit.

Not a fan of Morton's. I like the Flemings in Chandler (Ray and I-10). It is really good. I think Ruth's consistency accross the nation is good. It's hard to find a mediocre Ruth Chris. The one in Scottsdale is exceptional in my opinion. The old one (no longer exists) on Camelback was mediocre IHMO

I like Ruth's because it is a southern steak house and I like the butter and the heavy flare to the food. Their steaks really taste good.

How's T-Bone Steakhouse off 10037 S 19th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85041? The old western rustic styled place...

If you're ever in South Chandler, check out CHoP. It's a good steak (I think better than The Keg and up there with Flemings, without the cost). Ribeye is like $35 I think. Shula's in Chandler is good too, but can be the most costly steak in the valley since it is in a casino.

That's the one near the Phoenix Police Academy, right? I had an old co-worker who swears by that place, he would mention it every time steak came up, I might try it myself at some point

T-Bone's is extremely casual. Interesting atmosphere if you have out of town company that want to feel like they are in the wild west, and maybe catch a nice sunset. You have to serve yourself at the very tiny salad bar. Mediocre food, in my opinion. Ribs aren't on the menu, but if you ask, they may have them.
