I have noticed an increase of homeless recently, after living here since 2004. I don't know why.

One time a young woman sitting in front of a CVS said she was artist and wondered if I had any art work for her. As a fellow liberal arts major, it broke my heart.

I went to school and took several courses in ad design and illustration. I wanted to be in art, I really did. But I abandoned ship after I realized its such a crappy, hard field to break into. Any artist will tell you that and realize that. I would say its not a smart move to stick with it. Do it as a side job or a hobby, but dont expect to make a great living off of it.

Back room deal, indeed! Definitely something for Steve Croft of CBS 60 minutes to investigate. as low as $3.98 / camels for a pack in parts of Cali

Because Kamel Krush Kills and the state wont assess a proper tax. Many cities over there still allow cigarette signs at gas stations. Phoenix, and Scottsdale, ban them. A convenience store next to the 99 cent store placed the camel kill signs on the back of the store, so code enforcement would never see!

Have to admit that as a recovering smoker, that a sign at a gas station for $3.98 gets me in the door, even if I don't need any gas.
