With three marketable skills, I think so. CNA jobs are usually available at hospitals and care centers in all parts of the Valley; you could sell the handbags at flea markets and online. You might find a store that would sell them for you on consignment. The hair styling is something else you could fall back on.

Handcrafted items always sell good in Scottsdale. You can bank by creating Native American-inspired purses and sell them to the throngs of gray-haired snowbirds in Old Town Scottsdale, too.

What about cost and standard of living, rent, raising kids and the people there?

Cheap cheap cheap, the city is enormous and the housing stock is diverse.

Nurse and custom leather bag maker is a good combo for the salt hairs that invade us annually.

Not sure how involved you are in the handbag business, or how many you make. My only thoughts (which may be too far out of the park for you, but) are we have such a HUGE motorcycle crowd. When you first said handbags, I thought of motorcycle saddle bags.

There are way too many threads on this in here, to answer yours with your limited information.

Nothing useful to add, just wanted to say damn. You've got quite a few useful things going on.

To go along with what other's have said, if my girlfriend is any indication there are plenty of opportunities for a stylist too; all the better if you can rent a little space of your own somewhere and build up a client base. If the CNA gig were your main deal, you could fit the hair work around on off days from that (or do both part time).

Phoenix is a large and mixed area that varies block to block, it really depends on where you work.
