Keep it simple, it doesn't need any fancy desert names for the terminals. Why not call it Terminal A, Terminal B, Terminal C, Terminal D, etc?

Secondly, if the terminals are expanded, add some walkways.

for those curious, here's a picture of the old T1 and T2 before construction of T3...you can also see the remnants of the old crosswind runway at extreme center left (used before T2 was built in 1962)
I see your point, but if there is ever a need for more capacity, I think it can be accomplished by expanding T3 by adding onto its west side with an expanded landside area and two more concourses (G and H). This can be done at the same time as the curve straightening. No need to build an entirely separate terminal when you can expand the existing terminal. The trend by most airports around the world is shifting away from several smaller terminals in favor of fewer larger terminals.

The problem with letters is that they are used for concourses. T4 contains Concourses A, B, C, and D, and soon T3 will contain Concourses E and F (which will replace the "South" and "North" designations, respectively). Having letters for both the terminals and the concourses will cause a lot of confusion.

This is what I'm thinking. Name em after desert critters or plants. "Coyote" "Javelina" "Saguaro" "Palo Verde".
I can imagine the confusion when you have a bunch of out-of-towners coming through who have no idea how to pronounce any of those names!

Terminal 4 is already also the Barry M. Goldwater Terminal. That's not changing.

Yes, that detail seems often forgotten. Maybe T3 should be renamed for another prominent Arizonan.

Why not name them Pink Terminal and Fuschia Terminal?!
Las Vegas has a Terminal 1 and a Terminal 3, no terminal 2. Terminal 2 used to be the old international terminal. They tore that down and Terminal 3 is the new international / domestic terminal. I think it would be best to just leave it as it is.

Folks in these parts don't like names for things. They like numbers. Terminal 4 is already the Goldwater Terminal, but nobody uses that name. Nobody ever called 2 and 3 "east" and "west" regardless of these so-called official names. Hell, who knows east from west anyway after driving in circles around the airport? It's the same for the freeways. They all have names, Papago, Maricopa. Everyone has and will continue to call them by the numbers, the 10, the 101, etc.

How about adding the SW, ESE, NW, NNW, NE, etc. terminal names after we run out of N/S/E/W?

If we want to use actual names of people, how about keeping it interesting and adding the Sheriff Joe terminal?

Pink Jazz....we can paint the wall in that terminal pink. Sheriff Joe approved pink garments available for sale in the terminal store.

Since most of the female TSA agents have Fred Flintstone haircuts, perhaps they could put them all at one terminal and call it "Nappy.". " Where are you flying to, today?". Ermm..."Butch O'Hare, Sir, er I mean Mam.". Then they could put all the males that seem to have a predisposition for molestation at another terminal and call it "The Diocese." And most of the rest act like it's a narco state call that one "Joe Arpaio."
