But doesn't it involve treating the soil? It,s been. About 12 years since I talked to a technician about it, but he seemed to emphasize that the soil was critical...and I think the builders make a similar barrier, but it loses its effectiveness over time. BTW, I live in a fourth floor condo in a concrete building in the tropics, next to a five million acre jungle and they had eaten the core out of a hollow bathroom door (the filling)...I could have practically folded it up and put it in a lunch sack..

No, the bait system only relies on bait sticks with the hope that it will draw 'em in and poison them and away from the home.
