We visited AZ again and guess what? We still love the Scottsdale and Fountain hills area.

We love the views, the area in general, and we love being close to Lake Saguaro.

We checked Whisper ridge at the Enclave off 136th and Shea. The new houses started at around 700k but we don't want to spend that much.

My question is, is there a similar area with good views where there is new or fairly new construction homes between 350k and 500k?

Thanks!

I sincerely doubt you are going to find any newer construction in those areas in the $350K-500K range unless a condo will work for you.

One area you might consider is the new Trilogy at Verde River. It is north west of Fountain Hills in the area east of Rio Verde Foothills. It is an absolutely fabulous new community, albeit a bit isolated. You can get in there under $500k. Not everyone wants to be in a planned community without easy access to shopping and dining but it may be worth a look.

East Mesa. Las Sendas, Thunder Mountain and a few other places in that area are wonderful. Saguaro Lake is minutes away and Canyon Lake is less than a 30 minute drive. The Salt River is about 10 minutes.
It's a great area. I've been here 6 years now and the longer I'm here, the more I love it here.

by the way, we call it Saguaro Lake, not Lake Saguaro!....just so you can sound like a local asap!

if it must be that part of Scotts, you may be able to find a tract-style, not-new house on a smallish lot in your price range.....new houses in that part of Scotts? no, as AzJoe says......there is a 20-30% premium just to have a Scottsdale address

does it have to be Scottsdale?.....good views in great areas all over the valley

After we left I was looking at the map and saw Rio Verde Rd. Probably the same area. Thanks!

No one pays a premium for JUST an address. That's a ridiculous assertion. People buy into an area where they feel value, whether that be schools, amenities, views, safety, etc.

Doesn't have to be Scottsdale. We just fell in love with the area years ago and still love it today.
