Is there a gay district? Like capitol hill in Seattle, or Capitol Hill in Salt Lake City, or Capitol Hill in Denver? Where they at??

Supposedly Melrose, which is in Central Phoenix around 7th Ave between Indian School and Campbell

I wouldn't say Phoenix has an official gay district, although I would agree that Melrose is probably the closest thing we have to an unofficial gay district with a growing gay population.

Well I never said I'd live in the gay area, but it'd be nice to go there sometimes.

Several areas in Central Phoenix. There isn't a really highly concentrated area like other cities. The higher density is Central Phoenix with Melrose claiming to be the gayborhood. As far as living, Midtown residential, around the Biltmore, the rich older gays farther north on Central, Melrose, some in Arcadia, Scottsdale, or other places. Central Phoenix as a whole is more of a gay friendly area around the valley but not the only one.

But yeah I would identify the midtown area as being the "gay area".
