It's all very cute and provides a lot of year-round variety in the interior/exterior decor so I don't mind it, but it surely takes up a lot of storage space.

At least we don't have a storage locker. Once you start accumulating storage lockers, some people just can't stop. I've known people where it takes their relatives 1-2 years just to process all their belongings after they pass away.
You could, you just choose not to, which is perfectly fine. We have a bigger place too and my fiancé decorates for a lot of stuff as well but I would be willing to live in a small place, the idea of prioritizing outdoor time and experiences over stuff would probably benefit a lot of us.

Yeah, for sure. Everything's a trade-off in life, unfortunately.

Truth! My husband knows this all too well and chooses to abide by it. Hence, goodbye Seattle and hello again, Arizona (in August).

But anyways HECK NO I wouldn't pay any amount of money for anything micro. I don't see the point? We aren't into huge places either. Just a nice cozy, homey, welcoming abode. It seems like pop culture says that's naughty and such a shame. I just like having people over ya know?

Whats funny is how people cut down the tiny home movement, but then are completely fine with paying ridiculous amounts of money on rent to be in a place just as small. Oh, the hypocrites!

Well...in our experience about 1700 sqft is about right. There is no way we could do 400 sqft with 2 almost teenagers.

Oh I understand that...but why anyone would want to live in 400 sqft is beyond me. How would you leave a mess to clean up later?

Haha As I dust, vacuum and mop 1800 sq feet each weekend I find it more and more enticing to live smaller.

My house now is just under 900 sq ft. Honestly I spend the majority of my time in about half the space, so I'd be okay with it! I don't have a lot of stuff, don't want a lot of stuff, and don't need a lot of stuff. Life is simpler that way!
