Mayo sounds okay. As long as it isn't past it's sell-by date!

Did you catch what stage trauma centers they have? And where are the stage 1 trauma centers?

St. Joe's downtown is a level 1, Barrow's is located there as well. Chandler Regional just opened a level 1...Scottsdale Osborn, John C Lincoln...I would stay away from the Banner hospitals though...we've heard horror stories. I don't think Mayo does trauma.

The only Mayo I'm aware of in CA (my part) is stage 2. Maybe you're right, them not doing stage 1.

It's good to live near a stage 1 or 2 trauma center. Otherwise you get a helicopter ride.

This Cardon sounds like it's part of Banner Health? Is this also only children's care? Yes, very good to live closer to stage 1 or 2 trauma center.

stage 1 and 2 trauma centers

Find Your Local Trauma Center - American Trauma Society

Right now, I'm only 8 or so miles to Stanford.

Looks like Chandler or Scottsdale for me. I'm thinking of where I want to move to, not properties I already own, but same answer anyway. I like the east side of PHX. Or maybe north. Split the difference and call it northeast!

Just looking, kind of funny, I've spent most of my life living mere miles from a stage 2 trauma center.

I like Scottsdale area too. I would like some land around me ie at least quarter acre or more and least amount of crime. Have not spent any time in Chandler.

I don't know why I even said Chandler. There's two topics going at the same time. Closest I've been to Chandler is Gilbert. (I don't like Gilbert but no insult intended.) I may have passed through south Chandler on my way from Mesa to San Diego once, if that's the usual route. I went through mostly agricultural fields.

I like Mesa a lot but I want more upscale and have the money to afford it. I'm retired and I hope to spend my last dollar on my last day on Earth. I'd love to leave a reverse mortgage company crying!

Live well, love hard, and leave a 110% used up corpse! Hopefully triple digits on my odometer!

I want a place with a view like I have now (diff state), pretty view in hills looking down over valley, but if I have enough separation maybe mesas above would be cool. I love the mesas all over AZ and UT.

I once went to a party in Paradise Valley. If I could afford PV then totally sign me up! Talk about crime? My friend (a magazine editor) had his house totally surrounded by cactus. I just touched one and my finger came away bleeding! There is no possible way anybody would make it through that field, and next house was at least 100' in every direction. Planting was only within several feet of house. Rest of lot was 100% cactus. Zowie! Nature's minefield. Zero maintenance.

Does anyone think that LA/SD might be in a housing bubble?

https://asm-air.com/uncategorized/lo...ousing-bubble/

I like PHX and am more than happy to move in just over a year, but if the timing is right...SD here I come

Of course, I'm not saying we'll see SoCal RE at PHX prices, but the building boom on the West coast is bound to increase supply.

I live in Socal and own investment properties in PHX, and IMO neither market is in bubble land or even near it.

LA/OC is becoming frenetic in that affordable properties are nearing the end. Few more months and LA/OC properties will be only for the rich or for relocating CA-CA.

That sounds bad.
