Time to try something different than my big plushy floppy thing I brought from back home.

I know they make them out of lots of different materials. Wanting something that breathes a little more.

Any suggestions?

We use just a sheet most of the year. The few weeks/months we need more we use a little cotton throw blanket.

What like a comforter? I don't think "desert dwellers" have different tastes than anywhere else in the country...but for camping my favorite is my old poncho liner.

A big fluffy normal comforter and duvet. I keep the inside temp pretty chilly at night. I can't sleep when it's too hot. My bedding is the same as it was in MI.

You'll be using a/c in the summer and heat in the winter, your bedding should be no different than wherever it is you came from.

I'm from Idaho and our bedding is much different here than it was there. I've not used any flannel sheets or down comforters since I've been here.

We keep our house at 76 in the summer and use a sheet and we don't sleep with the heat on in the winter and use a cotton blanket. My wife has a light bedspread on he bed but we take it off at night to sleep.

My daily drivers are medium or lightweight microfiber plush blankets (?). I get them at Target. I just throw a better comforter on top of it for aesthetics if anyone's going to see it. They let a lot of air through.

Desert dwellers: what type of blanket do you like?
Cotton is best for most Arizonans I know, because it breathes. Whether lightweight, medium or heavier is preferred -- that's up to each person. My preference are the great quilts my family and friends have always provided from our most excellent quilters.

Wow, we've lived here 18 years and only turned on our heat 4 times. Winter we open the windows to let the "cold" in. Nothing better than fresh air after 6 months of a closed up house!
