Great for BASIS but I have a hard time cheering anything the republican dominated government has done for education here, the next lawsuit by educators to the state will be filed this week. It's complete and total BS that our elected officials continue to avoid properly funding our schools. The excuses are pretty well worn out now and the public outcry is growing louder by the week.

An interesting piece suggesting Sunnyslope High School is even more deserving of praise: Sunnyslope High School not BASIS should get the Headlines: with U.S. News High Schools that only have high-achieving students rank at the top - Grand Canyon Institute

Do you also decry the way the school districts/heads spend the money they do get? Just wondering if you're only being partisan in your outrage...

I am happy to see that a bunch of schools in AZ are in the top and made it to this list.

1) Very happy for BASIS Schools, Inc.
2) Incorrect for the Government to try and take credit for their success.

Of course, I'd love to see the same efficiency of charter schools pushed out to public schools. What I can't stand is the lack of access to good education available tolower income areas of Phoenix. That is not helpful for any of us.
