Wait, you guys have AAA in Arizona? I've been with them for 15 years, but when we moved here from CA this month and our policies were up for renewal they told me they could not renew us because they do not insure in AZ.

We shopped pretty extensively, State Farm had the best customer service and the best price by a bit, so that made our decision. USAA came in $60 a month more, which was a bummer because I wanted to go with them. We have an agent who is extremely helpful and responsive, above and beyond. I don't know if we're allow to share a name? PM me if you'd like it

We just placed through an agent and it worked out well.

I had renters through states farm and auto with progressive.

State Farm was really consultative, but the auto pricing was more than what I ended up paying for auto & homeowners. Their package discount was 35% for the homeowners, so if I didn't place the auto with them the homeowners went from a little high to very high.

Definitely shop around and don't be afraid to grab an agent, even if you don't have a ton of specialty needs

AAA has offices all over the place in Arizona. Sounds like AAA California told you that THEY do not insure in Arizona.

Oh no, I specifically asked if I could get a new policy in Arizona and his exact words were "Auto Club does not offer insurnace services in Arizona" he rattled off a few other states that they do offer insurance in, so I took his word. We really weren't happy with them anyways, they made more than one careless mistake that cost us money.

There may be some middleman handoff that maybe doesn't insure in this state, but AAA is definitely in AZ.

I had AAA for many many years when I lived in Iowa, so when I moved to AZ, I just transferred to the AZ AAA. That is when the nightmares began. HORRIBLE service. I have never experienced incompetency like I did with AZ AAA. Not just on the insurance, but on my membership too. So when it came time to renew the insurance, I shopped around and found out I could save quite a bit of money on both the car and home by switching to Farmers. However, as someone else posted, I had to try a couple different Farmers agents before I got the good price. I am with Dennis LaChance on Grand in Surprise. So far, I have only had a glass claim with them, but that was smooth and painless. Highly recommend Dennis' office.

I guess that you tried through AAA California to get the insurance. You have to go through AAA Arizona to do it. Find one of their office near you and go see them.

They lied to you. We insured our car and home with AAA Arizona in December.
