Please don't.

I was ONCE at a park in Mesa off of Dobson near Baseline and the ducks were ferocious. My boyfriend (now husband) and I were enjoying ourselves and this mallard had the audacity to come dart at me because clearly they just expected food. This duck was severely obese and had been receiving too much food. This is not normal duck behavior (outside of parks in Arizona).

BC knows what a nightmare they have become in chicagoland, and, my feelings are that THEY are food for us, NOT for us to feed them..
thousands of them everywhere in the suburbs of Chicago, and they are filthy and aggressive here..

It got so bad in our area in IL that our corporate HQ had to hire a company called the Geese Police to come out and deter them from coming around. Its also getting bad out here, too. I stopped over by the pond off of Hayden and Jackrabbit, and geese were pestering me like there was no tomorrow.

I know that's true for a fact; several places in the burbs of Chicago have hired those folks to get rid of these annoying birds; its time to take them off the protected species list, and let the hunters do their thing to reduce the tens of thousands of them that just wont leave northern Illinois..
I have a lake near my house, and they dive bomb and invade in waves, and leave there "deposits" all over the park area..and yes, they do not fear people at all..

Yeah the path I jog on around my neighborhood sometimes gets that way, I assume it's when they're walking around looking to make nests. When it gets bad it looks like you're playing hopscotch to get around all the turds. One of the reasons I keep my running shoes in the garage

The old Motorola campus in Schaumburg had signs for goose crossings and their own goose control folks.

Stopping by en-route.

Another vote for Encanto. It's a nice park!
