Queen Creek is a growing area. I think that if your goals are semi-custom, acreage, 4000 sq ft, 4 car - then yes, Queen Creek is a great option! There is lots of construction going on and development. I think the negatives are, it's a hike to anything. You're probably 15 minutes just to get to the highway. The surface streets can get jammed sometimes, but you know - you adjust. Because it's a growing area, for now, you get more bang for your buck. I was going to mention that it has a good sized LDS population, but from a recent reply you made, that's what you want.

I would not go to Apache Junction. It's nick name is A-Junk. The area has some beautiful custom homes with stellar views of the mountains at reasonable prices for the valley. The problem is you neighbor may have a 1965 mobile home with 10 cars in the yard next to you. If you're a live and let live person, the views out there are amazing. I kinda like neat and orderly neighborhoods, which I know is kinda boring. I also think if you move in 5 years, you will have an easier time in QC than AJ.

I hear good things about Surprise and Goodyear, but I rarely go to the West side, so I don't really know.
