I have seen pink bowling balls before at different centers, although the weight isn't the same at every center. However, bowling centers buy their bowling balls in specific weights all in matching colors to make them easily identifiable.

However, one thing that I have noticed is that many bowling centers I have been to in the past seem to buy their 16 pound balls in black.

FYI, I was at the AMF Mesa Lanes today, and the pink bowling balls were 9 pounds, which is far too light for me. Probably they wanted to cater to the female bowlers who generally use a lighter ball. It was the second lightest weight, after 8 pounds which I think were orange. I wonder if this is the standard at all AMF bowling centers.

I think I remember another bowling center in New Mexico where pink was 14 pounds (they had Brunswick-branded balls).
