So are you saying transplants and those no-good-lousy snowbirds are also warming up Oct-April when I am here?
Yep, all the slow driving snow birds heat up the pavement above and beyond what the sun does...

Maybe not. But 9 months of snow? For sure. https://wrcc.dri.edu/cgi-bin/cliMAIN.pl?ak0546

Something interesting to add: New York City is about the same size as LA geographically but has about twice as many people.
Actually, NYC is only 60% of the geographic area of LA or Phoenix. NYC's overall pop density is 28,000/sq mile, Los Angeles 8,500/sq mile and Phoenix 3,100/sq mile

Riverside County, San Bernardino County maybe... But LA, no. It's been over-developed for decades and is an urban jungle (not urban sprawl). People are crammed all over each other there.

But what do I know, I only lived in the area for 50 years. I'm sure you're far more informed.

ETA: LA is approx 500 square miles, Phx about the same... LA 4M people, Phx has less than half that... LA County is 4751 Sq MI with 10 million people, Maricopa is twice as big with half as many people.

So "twice as many people in half the size" - is pretty accurate.
That figure is misleading as an overwhelming portion of Phoenix is undeveoped desert.

In the context of the discussion - it's not misleading at all... You'd have to read the prior posts (back and forth dialogue leading to the specific one you responded to) for the relevance.

Actually, its all you speed demon, crazy fast speeding natives here that cause that extra heat..
In all my years of driving all over the USA, BY FAR, the phoenix area has more speeding drivers than any place I have ever driven in..and, I dont just mean doing 5 or 10 over, its more like 15-30 over the limit almost everywhere I go..totally insane..

Careful... This kind of talk is fodder for debate - which this forum thrives on (probably from the people you refer to).

I hear (read) ya...

What I've noticed is - a select few, regurgitating the same poo, permeate the threads...

This forum is a great tool for many that look for honest information. Informed decision is important - and sometimes hard to achieve. Sorting through the truth from agenda is sometimes more difficult than it should be... Most times - the info is there/here, but it sure can be a burden to find it.

Welcome to all that realize Arizona's brilliance! And more specifically Phoenix offerings!!! It's a great place - and don't let anyone fool you otherwise.
