What do we generally know about climate change?

It felt hotter in early early June, 2017 than this October. But in my mind, subjectively speaking, it didn't feel like "107". I have been to Clearwater, Florida in the summers many times back in the day when I worked for Honeywell. The rains came in and then the sun came out. The humidity skyrocketed and I would literally soak-up my shirt with sweat. It was extremely uncomfortable and I had to have a towel to wipe my face off every 3-4 minutes as sweat would bead and roll off my face. So I do sweat a lot more in comparison to others. Certainly, I sweat in AZ a lot too as I have to take in a lot of liquids. But at 15 percent humidity, it evaporates fast and I personally feel pretty darn good and the sweat doesn't build at all. Cut, paste, repeat for all of my 5 brothers. It must be a genetic thing... My wife on the other hand struggles in the same exact trips in the same temps/humidity. So maybe part of my ability to cope is because I evaporate my sweat more in comparison to others Keepin' it cool: the science of sweat — Explorit Science Center . She on the other hand, doesn't mind the FL humidity as much as I do and would prefer to be living year round in FL versus AZ. Hence, your mileage may vary. Hers certainly does. So as I said, for the above weather, it was child's play for ME. Maybe not you. Additionally, I enjoyed the mornings and evenings.

Years ago in July, I felt the furnace on the tar streets in Vegas. I remember it was 115 degrees and it was HOT! I realize that there are times of the year in PHX that are downright uncomfortable. My point of this thread was for me to be able to quantify through opinions of others as to how many days are disturbingly hot. Because for me, the 1st 11 days of June didn't qualify as bad. Rather, vary warm and doable. Especially in the shade.
I sweat like that just sweeping the patio in the summer here.

What you need to keep in mind is that 98 degrees this time of year is very different than anytime during the summer. When it hits 90+ this time of year, it only does so for a few hours out of the day in the afternoon. Once the sun goes down, which remember is earlier now, it cools down pretty quick. Also, because the days are shorter and the sun angle is lower, all the pavement & blacktop doesn’t get heated up as much as it would in the summer so it doesn’t radiate a ton of heat all night.

Fast forward to June-July and the days are long and the sun angle is strong. It’s above 85-90 from 10am to well past 10pm, often well past midnight on the hottest days. Add in all the baking blacktop, concrete & stucco and it gets pretty miserable. Not to mention it gets fairly humid around the 4th of July. I think that’s what makes the summer here so unbearable, it just doesn’t cool down all that much at night.

Like others said, if you could be gone from early-mid June to at least early Sept would be ideal.

July 24th this year was a great example of this. High was only 90°, but dewpoints were in the 70s most of the day, falling to the 60s in the evening, it was bad

Sounds like the entire summer season in the South, I know a lot of folks comment that our summers are “unbearable” but I still wouldn’t trade it for the humid southern summers. Those days are flat out no fun and be idea of an entire season like that is not appealing in the least.

Ditto! I'll take hot dry over hot humid too. I think your sweat mechanism works better to cool you off when it is dry (sort of like your body's own evap. cooler).
