This I guess is the fastest growing sport in the nation - especially among active seniors.

Article says 1400 players signed up in 30 minutes for this tournament - vs. 800 last year. That is pretty big jump!

We have had a couple of local city issue fights over these courts (not enough of them for some - too noisy for others) - but overall people seem to love it!

My neighbor, an ER nurse, loves pickleball. He claims all the broken bones from the out of shape folks falling backwards will provide job security for many years to come.

Pickle people crack me up, they act like it's a political cause and if they don't get their courts people will die!

The quieter balls do make it less annoying.

I would be considered an active senior. I hate to admit it, but I have played pickleball. It was OK, but for now I prefer racquetball. It's much faster and requires less restraint. I would think that wind might ruin outside pickleball games. We played inside a gym. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and they'll have a great tournament. If it were closer, I might go watch.

Some places are starting the pickleball version of racquetball.
