Hey Elon... Send me an email before you put up one of your rockets so I don't need to needlessly crap my pants.

Thx.

Rocket launch out of Vandenburg AFB, but it was heading south/southwest not north.

I seen it also, even took a video. What I saw was way to the west (I'm in Goodyear and it was way west of me) and it was traveling south. The light stretched for hundreds of miles it looked like.

It is all over the news...Space X launch out of Vandenberg AFB in CA.

That it was going South made it appear to linger in one spot for a frightening long time. Having never seen a rocket launch, let alone at night and in such clear skies, I'm gobsmacked by what I saw.

I've seen several rocket launches, always after the fact with the twisty long contrails, but never one like this. It was freaky to be able to see it in flight. It looked like it was travelling sideways, not straight up to the atmosphere. I thought for a second Kim Jong-un was sending an early holiday greeting.

I saw a Vandenberg launch overhead once. I was looking at it just as they blew it up -- apparently it was off course. Kinda cool effect.
