This AM the news in Phoenix says that Maricopa County grew fast last year with population increases than any other county in the US. The second was Clark in NV which only grew by 1/2 of our rate.

If AZ keeps growing and getting more expensive to live in during retirement I may have to find another area or state to live in but I would really hate to leave.

Great news, but most people leave after one summer and what about the water?

The article also doesn't state who is moving in Phoenix, which could be a problem if those residents need taxpayer resources to raise their families.

I saw another article that stated that CA alone lost some 184,000 residents last year and that most moved to NV or AZ to save money.

Water? They keep building the golf courses and fountains everywhere I look or so it seems. Such a waste of water in the hot climate of the valley.

The area keeps growing and once it grows into east LA, it will have the same problems that some of the people escaped. They bought their culture, policies and societal problems with them, didn't leave them at the door. Rinse and repeat endless cycle.

Not necessarily - I and quite a few others like me are leaving CA in order to escape their culture, polices and societal problems.

Hope that means you're voting differently. Don't do the same thing expecting a different result.

I've been a registered Libertarian for decades now. I can't vote much more differently than that!

I don't know anyone that moved after one Summer. I know quite a few snowbirds that liked it so much they sold their other home and moved here year round.

Water is fine. Use less water now than in the past when less people lived here. Most golf courses use reclaimed water. Same with the practice fields for Spring training.
