I'm looking to move from the mid-west to Az and wonder about the potential for consistent work of in-home personal training. Currently, I have a decent amount of clients, many whom I've trained for over 10 years but I need to ramble-on, plus I'm always cold and I have raynaud's syndrome so the warm weather is something I crave. I have no wife or kids, just a self-centered, obnoxious cat so I travel light. I figure staying close to Phoenix would be the best move. I'd like to be a 30 min drive at most from my clients and ideally they wouldn't be more than 15 min. from one another. most people want their workouts out of the way by late morning so I don't want to drive all over the place during the prime morning hours. I know Scottsdale is a wealthy area but is it a place I could rely on for consistent work with clients or some other town with a similar income demographic? Thanks!

That market is so oversaturated here (along with real estate agents), so be warned. Scottsdale would be a good choice, as many residents have extra income to burn, but most already attend gyms or see other trainers. It might be tough to break into the market. Have you considered Las Cruces, NM? Warm, but not as brutally hot as here, and growing fast.

Thanks BIG CATS. Haven't thought about NM but am open to anything warm and that's not Il. Also thought about Texas. I'll look into Las Cruces. Thanks again!
