2017: Literally half of the month was at or above 95 degrees! We were 99 degrees on 10/24 for Pete's sake. Yikes!

That’s only for an hour or two in the peak of the afternoon. With lows in the 60s, it’s quite nice IMO.

Agreed. Nights are fantastic, as are morning hours. Afternoons require A/C, which sucks. By that time of year I just wanna not run a/c anymore, and not feel like my face is melting off in the afternoon, a la Indiana Jones style when the Nazis open the Ark. Yeah, that kind of feeling.

Why are we talking about unusually hot temps like they are normal

99 in late October isn’t a record but it’s also not common and won’t be common

Contrast those averages and temps to Denver in October

An extremely unpredictable month where last year, they had a high of 84 one day and end of oct was 34. They got snow as well as temps from 60s-low 80s

I prefer Phoenix's warm BUT predictable weather, very few places in the USA get that predictability/stability

Its happened nearly every year. The heck you talkin about? I just posted a stat that showed a 10/24 date high of 99 degrees in 2017. In 2016 we hit 99 on 10/27! Its not unusual and WILL be common.

Big cats, why don’t you move? You clearly don’t like it here

What would there be to complain about?

Either (predictability, or variability) can be a curse or a blessing. One can do well in Colorado if they are prepared to be flexible. I can recall a New Year's day when it was in the 70s on the Front Range and we went rock climbing in the Boulder area. On the other side of it, I can recall a 4th of July weekend when we were kept off a peak in RMNP because of a blizzard.

Yes, in Phoenix all one really needs to predict the weather is a calendar. You can plan a picnic at noon on March 5th next year and be relatively assured of nice weather. The predictability becomes a curse by late August, however, when the triple digit temps have already taken their toll, but the pleasant days of November are still too far in the future.
