I have an ancient electric juicer that died, and I'd love to get it fixed. Are there any remaining fix-it guys - you know, retired guys who like to tinker - preferably in the east valley?

The problem is that for small appliances like a juicer, the repair will often cost more than a new appliance. Still, you could try Shav-Tronics:

Of course, you're absolutely right. There used to be a wonderful TV/Radio repair guy on Scottsdale Road, who just did it for fun, I think - I think his main income was from real estate. And he used to nicely point out that I could buy a new whatever-it-was for less, but then he'd admit that the new one would be poorer quality.

Thanks, I'll try Shav-tronics.

Sadly, no go. But it seems like a good place to know about, so thanks.
