I am relocating from CA to AZ. I am looking for a 3+ bedroom, 2+ bath, would prefer on a large lot as we have toys & are getting away from neighbors whose houses are 20 ft away. I have looked throughout rental listings, classified ads, craigslist etc...but keep running into property mgrs that "don't know if that house is still available, but will take down my info and call me back with someone that fits with what im looking for". I want to know if anyone knows of any rentals, preferably on the southern outskirts of phoenix, casa grande, queen creek, gilbert, chandler area....we hike ALOT and I've even fallen in love with the Huachuca and cave creek area. I know cave creek is expensive as we are looking for a house under $900 a month. I want to deal directly with the owner. Any help would be mucho appreciated.

i think if you check the classifieds in our local newspapers, you are more likely to find listings by owner.

thanks guys, i just keep searching and check out the ones that sound like owners. I have a couple on my list i'm going to check out. If anyone knows of a house for rent....let me know. looking under $900 3+ bedrooms.

Look on Craigslist under the Phoenix area. There are 100's of homes listed a day, and some by home owners.
