LOL. I definitely don't have thin skin. Please forgive me for my misuse of the word pretentious. Entitled a-holes is the better way to describe many students in that HS.

That's such a tired, foolish suggestion. If you can figure out how to live like a millionaire with a poverty-level salary, please clue me in and maybe I can live like a billionaire!

Naw...that was Detroit's comment...not yours.

To me when your kid makes zero effort, is failing a class, and you have a conniption fit because you feel like they should still be able to go on the school trip to Disney Land, that is a pretentious entitled attitude.
I never questioned your experience at all. I don’t doubt that there are pretentious people in Gilbert. You may need to reread my comments.

I didn’t take it personally, but it’s still a tired and lame stereotype. No one is living large on $30k, no matter how much debt they’re willing to take on. I also call BS on someone choosing a multiple roommate situation just for the mailing address.

Nah, it’s just that you can’t argue with math and logic. A $30k salary doesn’t even begin to cover the debt payments for the extravagances that you suggest these people indulge in.
