We will be moving to Surprise and wanted information on where we
should or should not be looking for a home?

I would start in Marley Park. It is very nicely done and we loved the homes there. Surprise Farms has many, many resales right now and that is also a decent place to live. Personally, I would stay away from El Mirage.

I agree with MotleyCrew. I would look at others there too. IMO, you can't go wrong with any subdivisions in Surprise because I think all of them are very nice and new. I also agree staying away from El Mirage.

I'm will be moving from Buckeye to Surprise and have liked some of the homes in Rancho Gabriella. The neighborhood seems to be well maintained, as does most of Surprise.

Haven't seen a rundown subdivision in Surprise. I know old town (Original town site) is old but even there it isn't "bad". El Mirage is a little rough but no where near a Maryvale. Besides, El Mirage is a very small area....Tiny in comparison to Surprise.

Most of Surprise is relatively new, so you shouldn't have to worry too much. El Mirage is a bit rough though, as the previous poster has pointed out.
