Garbage bins are out for one day, the in ground receptacles are ALWAYS there. The pics provided show that homeowners have to walk by them every time they go in or out of their front door. I only see my wheelie bins on trash days or when I have to put something in them. Otherwise they are out of sight. Big difference.

You don't have to bend down, they all have a foot pedal, you step on it and the lid pops up and you drop your trash in to it. e-z peasy.

They're not out by the door, they're in the ground next to the driveway at the street curb. Most blend in here to the desert landscaping. Everyone we know loves them. Beats having smelly garbage cans in the garage or near a door.

Quite a few of today's senior citizens are in better shape than a lot of the younger generations, who spend half of their lives staring at their phones and get little to no physical activity. Today's seniors are far more active and don't have as many of those "old age" problems like many seniors of the past. The stereotype portraying retirement communities as nothing but saggy, blue haired women, or white haired grumpy men with tons of physical ailments is outdated.

Ah, now I understand why we're always told the cockroaches will survive World War III! It's the in-ground trash receptacles!
