Why would anyone want to live in a mobile home? This is 2019 not 1970.

There are a few parks like what you are describing, where you own the lot and home, inside a "park". You also are required to pay an HOA type fee to the park for landscaping and common areas. There are some available to residents of all ages. I actually know a young family who purchased one because of the lower cost. They bought in a park on 103rd Ave in Peoria, AZ. Peoria has several of them, near the Sun City area, but actually in Peoria.

I have driven through these parks. What I have noticed is the land seems to be under a separate contract from the home in some cases. This results in the home being reposessed, with the reposessor coming and scooping up the physical mfg home, moving it away, leaving a vacant lot with the skirting still there, dangerous for neighborhood children.

As previous posters have mentioned, not much home equity builds up over time.
