I just turned to my television for the first time in a few months - same set, in the same location, the same room, with the same antenna - but the over-the-air broadcast has plummeted. I had been getting a wide range that included all the basic channels and a bunch of subchannels, with just perhaps moving the antenna slightly. Now, I only get a few, and only by major switching around of the antenna. No KAET/PBS at all.

Has anything happened recently in terms of broadcast that I don't know about?

rescan your channels and see what you get; the FCC has been making alot of changes to where OTA channels sit on the spectrum lately, so thats the first thing to try...

We are also unable to get any KAET/PBS at all and I have a friend who lives in a different location and she cannot get it either. Very frustrating because we used to get it. Have rescanned.

I have an OTA antenna ( https://www.amazon.com/ClearStream-I...58090106&psc=1 ) that I've been using 'indoor only' for the past year. In November 2018 I scanned and I got PBS (8.1-5). Then I lost PBS stations the beginning of 2019 and various other channels for a period of time. Then somehow PBS and the other stations reappeared again and I've had them for the past 8 months or so. Not sure if I moved my antenna around any to get the stations to reappear??? I don't recall.

I just now rescanned to see how many stations I currently get and the total is 89 digital channels. PBS 8.1-5 is included in that count. In the past month or two, I've gotten as high as 96. Not sure which ones are missing because many are Spanish language or shopping, etc. and I don't watch them. The one channel that I know I lost for sure in the past day is 10.1 (KSAZHD) which is the same as 10.2 (KSAZ) less HD. Both 10.1 and 10.2 are the FOX network and during this past year up until a week or two ago, I had only gotten 10.2. Channel 10.1 had only recently appeared, only now to disappear.

All the rainy weather last week caused me some issues with getting clear reception and also the sound quality at times. I expect more of the same problems on Thursday and Friday of this week with all the rain that we're expecting in Phoenix. I'm in the north part of the west valley.

Best of luck to you figuring it out! I hope that you and your family have a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday!

Yeah, I thought of that. Unfortunately, I have a whole other problem with the remote. But now I'm starting to think it may be a problem with the TV itself, as you have to hit "power" over and over until it finally favors you with a picture.

Thanks for all the replies!

Okay, I just managed to do a manual re-scan, which took forever, and the result is that the reception is clearer on my meager channels, but still not getting many channels at all, like CBS and PBS.

I use an indoor Mohu leaf antenna on the wall about 15 feet from my computer.
Yes, I've noticed that something electric can interfere with the television. Which is weird. What if your electric stove went haywire if you were using a countertop kitchen appliance?
