We are a family of 4 (1 college student, 1 high schooler and my husband and myself) from Massachusetts.

We are tired of the rudeness, high cost of living, and SNOW. We are looking to relocate to Surprise Arizona....we would love feedback from anyone in this area or has been there?

Hi. I've been living in Surprise since 1998. Overall, my family and I enjoy living in Surprise...

Some growth pains (like adjusting to increased traffic) but the area is destined to be a premier area to live in the valley!

Surprise has a mix of family-oriented and retirement communities within, along with bordering mountains to the West, farmland to the South-Southwest, and the twin Sun Cities (retirement communities) on the Northeastern limits!

Three High Schools. Valley Vista, Dysart, and Willow Canyon. Valley Vista is the newest and I have heard some good things. Willow Canyon has a international baccalaureate program.

Default Reply to the High School Posting

Thanks for the information on schools...it is hard to be sure the move would be a good thing for everyone in the family. The information gives me something to research

I have lived hear 9 years now. It is a nice area. The biggest pain is the traffic congestion. Arizona did not prepare for the boom of Surprise and have mainly one rd to travel east. It is a major headache. There is no good transit system if you need it.
