The apartment complex we live in had exterminators put metal covers on the roof to prevent birds from nesting. They must’ve not seen that there are already several nests. The baby chicks hatched. I know pigeons aren’t everybody’s favorite birds, but the screams of the baby birds are heartwrenching. They’re literally starving to death as we speak. Parents are on the roof panicking. What can we do to get them out of there? Fire department might help perhaps? This is horrible and atrocious and inhumane.

Can you go up there and remove the grates? That’s awful.

It’s up on the roof, above second floor. I’m sure this is happening all over the Valley right now with spring coming up.
I’m hoping for some ideas that folks here might come up with.

Did you call the company and your managing agent? To me, those seem like the obvious starting points.

The apartment office said nothing they can do until Monday. I gave them number to Humane Society who can come in and rescue the birds. The apartment office never called them, and HS can’t do it without their permission. It’s messed up...

I hope the babies survive with no food until monday (if anything gets done even then)
