Don't touch it anywhere else and wash your hands for 20 seconds after you dispose of it. The N95 face mask is what's used in hospitals to protect against TB among other droplet diseases. I had to pass a test fit for one every year when I was working and show how to properly dispose of it. I'm looking for some now. If everyone in the general public goes out and buys them up? The fear is that there won't be enough for first res-ponders.

THANK YOU. Although you got one thing wrong: TB is NOT a droplet disease; it's an airborne disease. Flu and the common cold are droplet diseases. I don't think they know yet which one coronavirus is, but we see all these people wearing N95's (and other protective gear); hence the fear.

What am I doing to prepare? Stocking up on cat food, mainly.

From what I've been reading it sounds like those that should have the most concern are those that should be most concerned about normal flu: the elderly and young children. I try to keep up on this but also understand why some are skeptical. Swine flu, bird flu, ebola...there's been a number of scares over the past decade. Corporate media drives panic (big pharma pays for a lot of advertising).

I dunno about the rest of you, but I'm taking this very seriously. I went to Walmart at 4 am to avoid contact with crowds, and maxed out my credit card buying pasta and spam, and 60 cases of Corona beer in case it does in fact turn out to be the antidote. It goes without saying that I will be wearing our full NBC suits with a level one gas mask pos pressure respirator 24/7 until the threat is gone.

As for ammo, well, let's just say if the house ever catches on fire it's gonna make Hiroshima look like a firecracker!

OK, we are switching to satellite internet now, to create an air gap in case CD gets infected. We will be closing the blast doors and buttoning up the bunker at 6 pm. Good luck hope y'all can ride this out. Cya in six months!

I'm flying from PHX to ATL in 2 weeks. Has anyone heard of any domestic flights being cancelled because of this?

My plan would be to make sure I did not go to that particular hospital if I had an emergency.

My cats are insisting I do that and I keep telling them it's too early to panic. But you know how cats are.
